The Lake County Triathlon, presented by Adrenaline Sports Management and Lake Property Owners Association, will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Paulus Park in Lake Zurich, Illinois.  Participants will enjoy a beautiful course that will allow them to swim, bike, and run through the beautiful city of Lake Zurich.

The triathlon is on a USA Triathlon sanctioned course, and will be timed. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finisher as well as the top three athletes in each age group, by gender. Every finisher will receive a “participation” ribbon for completing the race.

All participants will receive a Lake County Triathlon custom designed T-shirt as well as many other amenities in the race goody bags. Splits will be read at all the mile markers on the course. Water and Hammer Nutrition’s sports drink “Heed” will be provided before, on the course and after. Refreshments provided by Fresh Market and Trader Joe’s will be available after the event for all participants.

Race day "Base Camp" will be at Paulus Park. Please park in the parking lot across from Paulus Park on Route 12.

2009 Lake County Triathlon Packet Pick-Up will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009.  Please check back for updates regarding the time and place. 

Day-of registration will be held from 5:00am to 6:30am.

Transition Area will open at 5:00am.  You may put all of your items in this area at this time.  It will close at 6:45am, please put all of your personal and triathlon items in the area prior to this time. 

*For first time triathlon athletes, please familiarize yourself with the area and process before race day. 

There will be  NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES for the 2009 Lake County Triathlon.
